Scratched carbon foil? We make it smooth again.

FoilRevive repairs hydrofoil wings and stabilizers by hand: deep scratches, gouges and chipped tips.

What we fix

  • Close-up of deep scratches on a carbon wing

    Deep scratches and gouges

Sand, reef and board racks leave their marks. We sand them out, fill with resin and level the surface again.

  • Chipped wing tip with exposed carbon

    Chipped tips and edges

We clean up the chip, fill it and blend it back into the outline of the wing.

  • Gloved hand drawing the centerline back onto a repaired stabilizer

    Factory marks

The centerline is marked before sanding and drawn back on afterwards, so lining up your setup stays easy.

Cracks, soft spots or a damaged mast need a closer look. Send photos and we'll tell you straight whether it can be repaired or should be replaced.

How it works

  1. Send two photos

One close-up of the damage and one of the whole part. Add the brand and model.

  2. Get an answer

We tell you what we'd do, what it costs and when it will be ready.

  3. Hand it over

Bring the part in once you're happy with the plan.

  4. Ride again

Collect it repaired, cured and ready for the water.

Day 1, 4 October

  1. Inspection

Every scratch is checked by eye and by hand. The centerline is marked before anything gets sanded.

  2. Sanding

The damaged top layer is sanded back by hand.

  3. Degreasing

Dust off, then a solvent wipe so the resin bonds properly.

  4. Chipped tip

Loose material is scraped away and the edge is cleaned up.

  5. Resin

Resin is brushed into the scratches and spread thin.

  6. Leveling

Once the resin has cured, it is wet-sanded flat until the surface feels smooth.

  7. Finish coat

A finish coat goes on and cures overnight.

Day 2, 5 October

  1. Finishing

The cured coat gets a final hand finish.

  2. Ready

Questions

What do you need to give a quote?

Two photos, one close-up of the damage and one of the whole part, the brand and model, and a few words on what happened.

How long does a repair take?

The repair on this page took about 24 hours, most of it waiting for resin and coating to cure. Your timing depends on the damage and how busy we are, so we confirm it with the quote.

Can every foil be repaired?

Most scratches, gouges and chips can. A cracked mast is safer to replace, and we'll tell you so.

Will a repair affect my warranty?

It can. Some brands treat sanding and refinishing as a user modification. If your foil is still under warranty, check with the brand first.

Which parts do you work on?

Carbon front wings and stabilizers. For masts and fuselages, send photos and we'll tell you what's possible.

Send us a photo of the damage

A close-up of the damage, one shot of the whole part, plus the brand and model. We'll tell you what it takes.
